How to get CloudMonitor with Incremental Refresh?

Modified on Thu, 21 Jul 2022 at 03:12 AM

CloudMonitor with Incremental Refresh is beneficial for customers with a large dataset that has hundreds of millions of rows. One of its major benefits is when we refresh data it is less resource-intensive than refreshing the entire data all the time which locks the database for long periods.

Add Service Principal (as Admin) to your workspace.

  1. In order to add the service principal to your workspace, you must make sure that APIs are allowed to your Admin Portal. To check go to Power BI Sign in

                           a. Navigate to “Tenant settings”

                           b. Look for “Allow service principals to use Power BI APIs”

                           c. Make sure it was Enabled for the Entire Organization

2. Once API has been permitted, create a new workspace and add the Service Principal as Admin. From previous CloudMonitor articles, it was being called “CloudMonitor-SP”.

3. Send an email to support@cloudmonitor.ai  with your workspace URL and we will deploy CloudMonitor via DevOps with Incremental refresh on to your workspace. This is the URL in the browser address bar when you are viewing the workspace.
