User Guide: Getting started with CloudMonitor

Modified on Tue, 23 Aug, 2022 at 11:55 AM

CloudMonitor is a cloud cost optimization and governance tool that sits inside of your cloud tenancy and monitors your Azure resources in the background looking for cost anomalies, cost-saving opportunities, and ways to help you pay less for your cloud services.

Note: Follow the steps to download and connect CloudMonitor to your Azure cost data and generate your own cost insights and recommendations. Instructions for Installing CloudMonitor

To get started, log in to CloudMonitor Admin App:

Note: Contact our Support staff to configure the CloudMonitor Analytics Engine before we provide the login credentials. Step 4: Connect the PowerBI Reporting to the Analytics Engine.

Once you are logged in, click either the Cost Group panel or menu to get to the Cost Group page. Please refer to this article for reference: How to add member to a Cost Group?

After successfully adding Cost Groups, you can proceed to customize your Reports and Apps with your company branding. For more details, please refer to this: How to Change the Logos of the Report and Admin App (Whitelabelling)

Note: Only Admin App Administrators are able to change the logo in the Power BI Report and Admin App. Contact us if you are not sure who your Administrator is.
